For today's dish is a super easy recipe that can be altered in so many ways so read on to see what I used and what alternatives there are :)
There's only a few ingredients you need for this, most of which you would already have at home. To start of grab your baguette and slice diagonally about 2-3cm thick depending on how thick you want the slices. Drizzle all the pieces with a little bit of oil so they crisp up, I choose to use an olive oil/vegetable mix that's been infused with garlic. You could rub a garlic clove on the bread or add crushed garlic or omit it all together. Pop the bread into the oven and let it get all crispy and delicious.
In the mean time get to chopping some onion and chuck them into a pan to caramelise. With your meat, season with salt and pepper and prepare to cook them. Cook your choice of cut to your liking, I choose simple sizzle steak because I didn't want to cook a whole roast.
Once your bread is golden and crispy, spread your topping on top. I choose to go for dijon mustard but you could go for something like a creamy chive spread and that would be just as yum!
Add your caramelised onion, the more the better ;), then add your beef strips. Top with pesto and serve. Remember pesto is the besto!
Recipe
1 Bagette (Or any bread of your choice will work fine)
6 Sizzle Steaks (Or any cut of beef, feel free to change to meat)

Pesto
Dijon Mustard
Oil
1. Preheat oven to 180c.
2. Slice bread diagonally, drizzle with olive oil and cook until golden brown and crunchy.
3. Slice, dice the onion and cook in a large pan. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and put in the same pan.
4. Once the bread has toasted, spread the mustard on top and and the onion and steak. Top with pesto or balsamic vinegar and serve.
